The core material of this new product line was developed as a natural alternative to synthetic resins, specifically designed for use in bioclimatic housing. Research began with calcium hydroxide, a compound that showed excellent potential for this application due to its unique and favorable properties.
Development Rooted in Tradition
Drawing on extensive knowledge of traditional Greek construction techniques, and in collaboration with the Department of Archaeology at the University of Crete and the Department of Physics at the University of Athens, an innovative project was launched to develop a cutting-edge resin based on calcium hydroxide. This collaboration led to a breakthrough formulation that significantly enhanced the crystalline structure of the material.
The result is a product with exceptional elasticity and hardness, far exceeding the performance of traditional cement mortars. This advancement has made it possible to greatly reduce the reliance on synthetic resins in construction materials.
